Life Associates is a premier provider of total retirement solutions for government agency employees located across the United States. Headquartered just outside of Chicago, we were one of the original companies approved by HUD in 1946 to provide pension programs for government employees. We have faithfully served this marketplace for over 60 years and it remains the sole focus of our company. Our range of products and services includes retirement solutions, protection products and savings vehicles for all phases of retirement planning. Life Associates also specializes in providing other financial products to address the needs of plan participants. Our History: Life Associates was formed in 1946 as a retirement planning company. We were one of two companies approved by HUD to provide pension programs for public housing employees across the United States. Over the 60+ years that we have faithfully served this marketplace, we have committed to continually enhancing our product offerings and service delivery. Our marketplace: Life Associates has had a singular market focus since inception that is, serving government agencies. We understand the business and we employ a staff who has worked in this marketplace. We have a national presence and service 200 housing authorities and over 3, 000 plan participants located in 25 different states. About products/services: Life Associates offers a "total retirement solution". Our cornerstone product is a 401 ( a ) government agency retirement program. This qualified defined contribution plan provides a flexible, tax-deferred pension program for government employees. Life Associate's also provides a 457 Deferred Compensation program to provide plan participants a "self funding" option to complement their core program. We also offer an optional group term life insurance program providing each employee death benefit protection. Life Associates has partnered with a national brokerage company to provide access to competitive financial services products ( i.e. Life Insurance, Annuities, Mutual Funds, Long Term Care, Medicare Supplement ) to meet plan participant needs. Service Philosophy: Life Associates believes in servicing the business we sell. We have developed a sales and service culture within our company focused on listening to the customer and responding to requests for support and service. We support our service philosophy by: Annual Employee Plan Reviews focused on helping participants understand their retirement plan and educate them on investment options Customer Support Call Center - all plan participants have access to an 800 number to call Life Associates for assistance with any questions regarding their account. Retirement Specialist Support - each member of our retirement specialist staff is accessible via our 800 number and by cell phone to assist with investment options, etc. Semi-annual Customer Service Calls. Web-Site - through our robust site, we provide participants the ability to review account balances, monitor investment results, review educational material, complete fund transfers and change investment elections.
