Weve taken our dogs & cats here for over 12 yrs but weve had pets for over 30 yrs. He has had special breed knowledge on Great Danes and 4lb Poms that has helped us. Past Vets we used would hurry, try to sell us expensive treatments or play on emotions. Not Dr. Onishi. He will completely explain 2-3 varied treatments options, cover the pros & cons of each with the success rates & possible negatives and let you choose an option that fits. He always has a Plan B and explains that before you start on Plan A so youre never surprised. Ive never had a Vet do so much research to be sure our pets are getting the correct treatment. While he is very current on all the new treatments & specialty Vets, many times he will suggest a less expensive treatment from an old school perspective that works great. After tougher treatments hell call you at home/cell to check up on the pet, sometimes after 8:00PM at night & weekends. We tell everyone about Dr. Onishi & his excellent caring staff.
