The SALON Rocks!! Sitting in a stylist's chair for the first time can be soo intimidating but Chelsea totally had me at ease by really listening to my "hair issues" before working her "magic"! I'm not a girl obsessed with having my hair perfectly blown out with every strand in place or freaking out over a few greys.With that said, I must add that I've gotten so many compliments on my hair which is not something I'm used to at all! So that says alot about her talents. I believe everyone is gifted with some kind of natural creativity & like a rare gifted painter or sculpter, Chelsea's gift is making our hair beautiful! Oh,& healthy! Now I can't NOT comment on the Salon atmosphere because that in itself was pure DELIGHT! OMG. All the ladies working there were so welcoming & down-to-earth! We've ALL been to the Salon where the Receptionist,Stylists & others have major ATTITUDE(and I ain't talkin bout the good kind!Ha.)! My experience with Chelsea & Cosmotique was exactly the opposite! Jewely,Hair "Bobs",Fragrances,Soaps,Candles,unusual Mirrors hanging from chains or ribbons,carved Mermaids & Fairies(very BALI!),Umbrellas,Skin Care,Makeup,Garden Statues & even a large collection of great pink & peachy colored Himalayan Salt Crystal Lamps & candleholders which ionize the air & are great for health in general! No way have I mentioned all the lovely & interesting things for sale at Cosmotique, but hopefully this gives a little insight into my wonderful experience there!

This is a salon that charges per service, which can be an advantage if used correctly.



I tried this salon and was not informed of the additional cost of the shampoo and blow-drying (an additional $30), though it was offered to me. A current client of the salon had misinformed me that the $35 hair cut included the shampoo and blow-dry.



When I talked with management after I was charged $65 for a shampoo, trim and blow-dry, no refund was offered. They stated that they felt their prices were comparable to similar salons, though my research indicated that there was only ONE other "boutique salon" in the area that charges that amount - and only their top stylist charged that much.



They further indicated that most of their clients are repeat long-term clients so their stylists are not accustomed to discussing pricing with new clients. The stylist I had KNEW that I was a first-time client and did not indicate to me that the EXTRA service she was offering would cost me an extra $30.



Pros of this salon include parking and a cute boutique attached.
