OSU Dental Faculty Practice comprises general dentists, dental hygienists and specialists and provides various dental health services. The professionals work in academic and clinical settings. It provides routine dental examinations, preventive cleanings and treatment of various oral and maxillofacial problems. It also treats dental problems of mentally and physically challenged persons, youth, children and seniors. Its practice areas include dental anesthesiology, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial pathology and surgeries, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics and periodontics. It additionally provides root canal treatment; restorative, cosmetic and preventative dentistry; and diagnosis and treatment of mouth and jaw diseases. It also provides surgery of the mouth, face and jaws; tooth extraction; implants; jaw reconstruction; and treatment for facial trauma, fractures and facial nerve injuries.
