General Info

Dr. Gisselle Calero was born and raised in Miami, Fl. She completed her undergraduate studies at Florida International University where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences. She then attended Nova Southeastern University, College of Optometry where she obtained an additional Bachelors of Science in Vision Science and simultaneously completed her Doctor of Optometry degree. She fulfilled a Residency in Primary Care with an emphasis in Ocular Disease at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. Throughout her clinical rotations and during residency she developed extensive experience in ocular disease management specifically diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and pre-and post-operative care for several surgeries. Her training also includes pediatric care and specialityspecialty contact lenses. Her passion lies in preventative eye care, personalized dry eye management, and myopia control. In her spare time, Dr. Calero loves spending time with her family, hanging out with her dog, dining out, and doing yoga.
