My son is a 100% disabled USMC infantry combat veteran who served in Afghanistan. In 2014 after spending 6 weeks in a PTSD "camp" in West Virginia, he contacted Bullock K9 about getting a service dog to help him. They agreed on $6000 for a dog and my son flew to Greenville from NYC in the fall to work with the dog and ultimately bring it home.. Unfortunately, the dog turned on my son on the first day and viciously attacked him, biting his wrist and forearm badly. He had to be forcibly removed. The dog was a retired police dog and apparently not suitable to be a service dog. In his traumatized state, my son agreed to a different dog that wasn't in the country and he went home to wait. During this time he changed his mind and we requested that Bullock return the $6000. Bullock grudgingly agreed and several months later returned $1500 with a promise to pay the rest in installments. Lots of lies and promises later, here we are almost a year later and we have received no further payments. He will no longer take my calls, texts or emails and apparently feels that he is safe because we are separated by many miles. I've given him every opportunity to "do the right thing" and pay us back the $4500 he still owes us, but he refuses to do so. I even offered to cut the debt by $500 (consider it a nuisance fee) and now I have no choice but to seek restitution via social media - a lawyer would only take most of the money if I went that route. The man is a liar and a thief - be forewarned!
