I encountered a very rude employee at Dons Car Wash. I guess Dons employees do not understand that the customer pays the bills. Without us, there is no business. They have lost me as a customer!

Horrible service. I went to get my motorcycle (dirt bike converted to street bike) inspected there and they passed it with no problems. 2 weeks later I get a letter from the DMV telling me my vehicle was titled wrong and they put a stop on my record. Come to find out their service manager, ON HER OWN OPINION, turned in my information to the DMV! Now I have to waste my own time to prove to the DMV (again) it is street legal, meets all DOT regulations and has been through a physical inspection by the Louisiana State Police. I will NEVER go back to this place for a car wash, oil change and ESPECIALLY inspection!

I went to Dons on the recommendation of a family member.



I have a truck that is less than 6 months old. It has a few minor blemishes, nothing major, I take good care of my truck. I had some custom work done and wanted a wash and wax to take some professional photos.



I had paid for what i was told was a hand wash and wax and was less than happy to see my truck go through the automated wash. I figured it was a mistake and wanted to make sure my truck at least got waxed. I was more than a little upset to see an orbital sander like waxer being used on my truck (again, not being done by hand but by machine).



I was noticing what I thought was a line of wax on my hood. It was white and kinda noticeable from a distance. When the manager finished wiping down the wax I asked him to buff out the line of wax.



To my horror it turned out the mark was not wax but a new series of parallel scratches, each around 0.5" in length and in total running about 5" along my hood front to back.



This was completely new, I raised that issue with the manager. He refused to access those were new. I asked multiple times. After giving him plenty chances to accect responsiblity, I called the cops. After getting their advice, I paid for their bad work and made a complaint with the better business bureau and filed a claim with my insurance.



All in all, I had wax still visible on the truck, pactches of wax in every crevice on the truck, and plenty circular swirly marks left by the wax machine. 3rd rate experience in my opinion. Will never return there, except to collect a check for the damage done to my truck and compensation for loss of resale value.



A refund of the wash and wax fee would also be appreciated.



Repair work is going to run 600+ and truck value will drop at least that much at resale due to the vehicle being repainted.
