Upon going in, all seemed good. Filled out the required paperwork. Agreed on a 6 hour rental with sporting life jackets and a wake board. Told him where we were camping and he said he’d meet at at the dock at the agreed upon time. Day of rental, we arewaiting at the dock and call because we don’t see him there. He then says he’s at the state park and not at our campground. We had to go back and load up the truck and drive to meet him. Get there and he tells us the wake board was broken by the previous days renters. But says he can get us a knee board or tube if we wanted. We agree to a knee board even though it wasn’t what we wanted. We finally get out on the boat, no sporting life jackets (just the standard orange safety ones), no tow ropes, the radio isn’t Bluetooth like we asked. We then get a call saying they don’t have the knee board like they said was available. We told them to come get the boat. Luckily upon showing up, he apologized profusely saying that wasn’t how they do business it was just “one of those days” and agreed to refund our deposit immediately and void our contract, which was much appreciated. I sincerely hope for others, this isn’t how they normally do business and can take this as a learning experience to improve business practices in the future.
