Eagle Transport Corporation is a leading petroleum products transport company. Founded in 1969, Eagle Transport owns nearly 400 power units and operates about 30 terminals in the East and Southeast United States. The company has grown steadily by retaining and servicing its existing accounts, and by acquiring other transport companies and expanding into new markets. In 2005, the company acquired the rolling stock of Woodford Oil Company and Hess Oil Company of Elkins, W.Va., which added 13 transports to its fleet. Eagle Transport s corporate office is in Rocky Mount, N.C. It operates a terminal at 1618 S. 50th St. in Tampa, Fla.
